Hafa Adai! My name is Annabelle Sablan, an aspiring architect from Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, currently based in Honolulu, Hawaii. I recieved my Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2024.
My design philosophy focuses on creating spaces that enrich the human experience by combining storytelling through space and materiality with practical, functional design. I strive to balance meaning and functionality, ensuring that spaces foster connection while performing well in a variety of contexts. I believe meaningful design weaves together narrative and purpose to create spaces that engage users and enhance their experience, all while carefully adapting to their context with intention and care.
What I enjoy most about architecture is the collaborative nature of working with people from diverse backgrounds and professions. The opportunity to learn from others and see a project from multiple perspectives is one of the most rewarding and exciting aspects of this field.
